E-Commerce & Online Merchandising Internship
Location: At the studio in Berlin
Start date: ASAP or October 6, 2026
Preferred availability: Min 4 days per week. Pflichtpraktikum (Mandatory internship) or orientation internship (max 3 months)
About Minifalda Studio
Minifalda sells curated second-hand and vintage fashion. Every piece we sell is selected, styled, and presented with intention. Minifalda operates mainly online through our Shopify webshop.
About the Internship
This internship is for someone who enjoys bringing structure, organization, and attention to detail into a creative fashion environment.
You’ll work closely with the founder on the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the Minifalda webshop. Your role will cover everything from getting new products online and coordinating photography workflows to improving product presentation, merchandising, and the overall online customer experience.
Because every item at Minifalda is unique, running the webshop also involves a significant amount of recurring, detail-oriented work: processing product information, organizing imagery, uploading products, checking data, and keeping the webshop accurate and up to date. We’re looking for someone who understands that a well-run e-commerce business is built not only on ideas, but also on consistency and execution.
At the same time, Minifalda is an early-stage startup, so you won’t be limited to one small part of the e-commerce process. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full journey of a product - from preparing it for photography to publishing it online and ultimately getting it ready to reach the customer.
What You’ll Do
-
Help manage, maintain, and continuously update our Shopify webshop
-
Prepare and upload new products, ensuring product information, images, pricing, collections, tags, and other details are accurate and consistent
-
Help coordinate and manage the product photography process, from preparing products to keeping track of files and ensuring everything is ready for upload
-
Assist with the full model photography workflow, including preparation before shoots, and processing and organizing content afterwards
-
Create and enrich webshop content, including cross-sell sections, collection and landing pages, banners, and other commercial content
-
Support online merchandising by helping determine how products and collections are presented across the webshop
-
Identify opportunities to improve the webshop, product presentation, navigation, and overall online customer experience
-
Help create and improve internal workflows and structures that make the e-commerce process more efficient
-
Monitor the webshop for inconsistencies, missing information, or opportunities for improvement
-
Prepare garments for shipment and pack and ship customer orders when needed
-
Bring your own observations and ideas to the table and take initiative in executing them
-
Support other day-to-day e-commerce and studio operations when needed
What You’ll Gain
-
Hands-on experience managing a real, growing fashion e-commerce business
-
Practical experience working with Shopify and online merchandising
-
Insight into the complete process behind running a fashion webshop - from product intake and photography to online presentation, sales, and fulfilment
-
Experience coordinating photography and content workflows
-
An understanding of how webshop presentation and customer experience influence conversion and sales
-
The opportunity to actively improve processes rather than simply follow existing ones
-
Close collaboration with the founder and direct insight into how an early-stage fashion business is built and scaled
-
Responsibility and ownership over real projects from the beginning
Who You Are
-
You are highly organized and detail-oriented
-
You enjoy creating structure and keeping track of multiple moving parts
-
You are comfortable with recurring and repetitive tasks and can maintain accuracy and focus while doing them
-
You are proactive and don’t always wait to be told what needs to be done
-
You notice when something is missing, inconsistent, or could be improved
-
You work accurately, consistently, and reliably
-
You are interested in e-commerce, fashion, online merchandising, or digital customer experience
-
You are comfortable working independently while also communicating clearly with others
-
You have a strong willingness to learn and improve
-
You understand Minifalda’s aesthetic and can translate that into how products and content are presented online
-
Previous experience with Shopify and Adobe Suite is a plus, but not required - a strong willingness to learn is just as important

-
Bring your own ideas to the table and take ownership in executing them
-
Support day-to-day operations (e.g. measuring garments, uploading products to Shopify, basic admin tasks)
What You’ll Gain
-
A strong creative portfolio (photo, video, campaigns)
-
Real published work and case studies
-
Creative ownership and freedom to experiment
-
Experience in fashion, branding, and e-commerce
-
A behind-the-scenes understanding of how a fashion brand operates from day one
-
Close collaboration with the founder and direct feedback

-
You have a strong willingness to learn and improve
-
You are passionate about content creation (photo/video)
-
You have a good sense of trends and digital culture
-
You are comfortable with relevant tools like Capcut, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva or strong willingness to learn
